Your Care Wellbeing Creative Arts as Therapy and Wellbeing IN-PERSON CREATIVE ARTS AT MICHAEL SOBELL HOSPICE Open to those facing life-limiting or advancing illness, our creative arts aim to support emotional wellbeing and aid self-esteem. STARTING April 2023 Art on Wednesdays – weekly on Wednesday mornings 10.30 – 12.00 for 8 sessions from the 12th April. Art on Thursdays – weekly on Thursday mornings 10.30 – 12.00 for 8 sessions, from the 13th April. These sessions provide for small groups working on a variety of creative art projects, either your own or a guided project, as desired. They are designed for enjoyment and relaxation and no artistic ability is required, just a willingness to “have a go”. All basic art materials are provided. For those who wish to put their memories into words and/or images, we also offer the opportunity to work on creative ways to record memories through journal keeping and scrapbook making. INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS: If you cannot attend one of our groups, we are able to offer some individual sessions at Michael Sobell Hospice, to include the following: Starting a scrapbook or journal of memories. Advice and guidance on writing your memory/memories. Support with writing letters to loved ones.
